LensCoat ® was founded almost two decades ago by and for nature photographers.

The goal was simple; create the highest quality protective gear and accessories for photo equipment. For this dream to be a reality, manufacturing needed to take place in the USA under our strict supervision. Everything is made at our facility in Freehold, New Jersey to our exacting standards.

It all started with the LensCoat® lens cover and grew from there.  LensCoat ® lens covers are manufactured from 100% closed-cell neoprene, offering lens protection while providing a thermal barrier protecting your hands from cold lenses in lower temperatures.  The success of the LensCoat ® lens cover led to us creating and developing other products to enhance your photography and protect your photographic gear.

LensCoat ® continues to innovate and create the highest quality accessories for photo gear. Every year we add new products and improve older ones, based on our community of photographer’s needs.  We welcome input from people in our community, and we also do custom work when we have customers with unique requirements.  Since we started with one sewing machine many years ago, our business, product offering, and community have grown substantially.  Our products are enjoyed and loved all across the globe by nature, sport, and recreational photographers.
